The Ticket in This Direction

Paluca returns to Pinecone Moonshine with his third EP for the label. Each iteration has brought new concepts in the drum and bass framework.

This latest EP, The Ticket in This Direction, features recognizable instruments, yet treated in the same thoughtful approach Paluca uses to turn synths and field recordings into atmosphere - a violin pluck can dissolve into echoes, piano notes fluttering as if from an impossible player piano score, or trumpet that reverberates through a medium that doesn't exist.

These instruments form an ensemble with Paluca's signature mechanical, sparse breakbeat patterns, Amen, distorted basslines, and layers of atmosphere.
